Using this site
MyFreightClass provides free calculators and reference content for freight planning and informational use. No account or sign-up is required, and there is no charge to use any calculator on this site. MyFreightClass is independent and is not affiliated with NMFTA, any motor carrier, or any freight broker.
Accuracy
Every calculator is checked against known reference values before it goes live (see the About page for how). Even so, results are estimates provided for informational purposes only. A density-derived freight class is a starting point, not an authoritative classification: NMFTA also weighs handling, stowability and liability, specific commodities carry their own NMFC item numbers, and a carrier's published tariff governs what is actually billed. Freight classification also changes on a docket schedule, so confirm the current classification and rates with your carrier before tendering a shipment.

This site is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Use of any calculator or content on this site is at your own risk.
